I have an old friend who argues that people never change; I always disagree with him. And yet, here I am reading Thomas Pynchon and listening to Nina Hagen just as I would 40 years ago.

"Sun Wheel", which came just after this e.p. I think, is good. But the other recordings sound much more polished and "produced", and he kind of got away from the vibe of this record. This was a unique little jewel.
@gnitro@vinylrecords don't know the song (yet), but wow, this is a very beautiful pink record/disc! 🩷
i like the look a lot!

I don't know that they've released everything - and not all of the releases are on vinyl, some are just digital IIRC. I don't know that they've issued Larry Nozero's "Time" lp. But I'm not entirely sure.. Anyway, it is pretty awesome to see so many Strata recordings in print.
@vinylrecords
This is a hitherto unknown (to me) jazz lp from the Detroit-based Strata label, recorded in 1970, and reissued most recently on BBE Records out of the UK. I wasn't sure what to expect, but saw the Strata logo and figured it was worth checking out. It's a really superb album, a 2xlp set, with sterling performances from all members, a slice of early 70s jazz that would not feel out of place on a Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, or Wayne Shorter record from the period.

There's location info in the alt text for each image, but they include Lou's Records in Encinitas, Nickelodeon Records in SD, and Flimzy's Records in SD.
