Tuta, PeerTube is an #OpenSource video platform that is an alternative to YouTube.
Please provide a PeerTube option for people that do not want to support Google.
PeerTube has a feature that allows you to automatically import all the content from your YouTube channel and also synchronize the channels so that when a new video is published to YouTube it is automatically published to #PeerTube.
The "New Outlook" demands that when adding your Gmail account, you also give Microsoft a copy of all your email, contacts, and calendar data.
The "Learn More" link confirms:
"Syncing your account to the Microsoft Cloud means that a copy of your email, calendar, and contacts will be synchronized between your email provider and Microsoft data centers."
About half of the Fediverse addresses typed by FediForum attendees into the session notes are missing the leading "@".
People typed in their very own Fediverse handles. And because they came to FediForum, it's very likely they are very well acquainted with the right syntax.
Pretty strong circumstantial evidence that most people won't be able to distinguish Fediverse handles from e-mail addresses.
I have long believed that they should be the same.
Just curious- what exactly do you mean by that? Do you mean abandoning/trashing your google account, or do you mean also refusing to send email to gmail recipients?
Personally I’ve gone all the way. Ditching the Google acct was just the 1st step (which implies also ditching Google Playstore). Then I quit sending email to gmail & outlook recipients. Then I went further and do an MX lookup on all email addresses to verify whether a vanity address like [email protected] resolves to google. This has made #email mostly dead to me.
What is your favourite #fdroid app? Would be interested if I can discover a few new cool apps, I missed until now. Thank you already for sharing! @fdroid
With this year’s version, we’re delivering much more than just another yearly release. Supernova represents a modernized overhaul of the software – both visually and technically – while retaining the familiarity and flexibility you expect.
It's your first step into the future of Thunderbird.
Anyone know of a standalone #FOSS#email#search engine with a web interface that's quick to set up? I need to search a mailbox that's far too big for client side searching.
Should I create a new email for a private tracker?
Concerned if the site is seized my regular email be exposed. Thanks
