@thevglibrary@bookstodon thanks for the recommendation, friend! Though I after just a few minutes research, I am hoping the recent Unity drama doesn't effect development. Wishlisted!
@thevglibrary@bookstodon What a delightful find! Thanks for sharing. 🤞🏻 this series will be translated & released Stateside one day. It would be great for school book fairs.
DIGITAL ARCHIVES AND COLLECTIONS
CREATING ONLINE ACCESS TO CULTURAL HERITAGE by Katja Müller (2021) (Made available under a CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license).
"Museums and archives all over the world digitize their collections and provide online access to heritage material. But what factors determine the content, structure and use of these online inventories? This book turns to India and Europe to answer this question. It explains how museums and archives envision, decide and conduct digitization and online dissemination. It also sheds light on born-digital, community-based archives, which have established themselves as new actors in the field".
I'm reading Viet Thanh Nguyen's 'A Man of Two Faces: A Memoir, A History, A Memorial'.
It's astounding. The author's command of language churns and easily sways the contents of this book into anger, an easily read and yet complex turn into a deeply engaging Vietnam-in-USA trip.
@Bogusmeatfactory@thevglibrary@bookstodon Yeah, they were absolute disasters and Dark Horse refused to fix the mistakes. No wonder that Cyan axed the contract and shoved them under the rug.
Just #read Alien Healer by Sue Mercury (#book 2/Vaxxlian Mates). This short alien #romance novella is a rescue & rehab of a human female. Themes of arranged marriages, forced marriages, pregnancy, etc but no glaring consent issues between MCs (sometimes I struggle with this author over the excessive violence in her books). Haven’t read book 1 but will. #books#reading#romancebooks#romancelandia#bookstodon@romancebooks
Edited the previous post (apologies), as the image was not rendering properly in some browsers. #MastoHelp: Do shallow aspect ratios cause problems? I resized it to 16x9.
Bless @internetarchive for saving the interesting website of the late #AnnSwinfen, to which she was adding until her sudden death in August 2018. Here's her introduction to #medieval#records & to the business of the #bookseller, supplying both affordable #textbooks to students & fine illustrated #manuscripts to wealthy patrons:
Received more royalties for my book Ultimate Train Journeys: World, which is very welcome... not as much as the previous six months, but it's still on the bookshop shelves and selling (coming up to two years since it was released).
