Baby Animals First is a board book series that I really love : the pictures are always beautiful and the text is always poetic and adorable. I love the animal diversity, and the fact that Alexandra Claire shares well known animals, but also rarer ones. It is the perfect read for little animal lovers ! There are currently six titles available : ABC, 123, Sounds, Shapes, Opposites and Colors.
Today is the last day of Día de Muertos, All Souls Day, a special time of remembrance of all those who’ve passed on. These two gorgeous picture books describe with beautiful illustrations and words the meaning of this Mexican holiday traditionally celebrated on November 1 and 2.
I love Sandra Boynton’s books and when I read this one, I knew it was the perfect opportunity to include the chickens ! Eek ! Halloween ! is silly and playful and describes what is happening during Halloween Season from the chickens ‘point of view.
These board books are so adorable ! And they have a pop-up surprise at the end ! Colorful and joyful, they teach babies and toddlers about colors and numbers with the help of friendly animals. The art is beautiful, fun and attractive ! I hope they will do more books in this series !
