@podryban@ksiazki Ja też potwierdzam, tańsza wersja to 7 książek, ale nie powiedziałabym, że wszystko śmiga. Trzeba pilnować synchronizacji w okolicach okresu rozliczeniowego, zdarzało mi się synchronizować tuż po rozpoczęciu nowego okresu, a i tak wyjebywało mi np. spontanicznie wszystkie książki Legimi z czytnika i trzeba było kombinować, przelogowywać się, niewiadomoco. Nie polecam, ale chyba większość ludzi nie ma takiego pecha z tą apką jak ja ;D No i mój model jest starszy, to jest bodaj Paperwhite II albo III, więc może np. na nowszych to działa lepiej?

Still - as highlighted at the end of the article - the service will be terminated by November 1 for the legacy format *mobi. And I bet quite a few of us still have *mobi files on our drives or somewhere else.
Yes, yes - I know you can manually transfer files via cable. (Or by converting *mobi to *epub via 3rd party software.) Still, I think terminating this service is a bad business decision re: legacy users.

@markdevries@bookstodon@horror@scifi Sadly, I haven't had much luck publishing eBooks anywhere else. My first two novels for example were available on other platforms such as Apple Books and Google Play for years but never sold enough to justify keeping them there when compared to being Amazon exclusive via Kindle Unlimited. Fortunately, things aren't quite so locked down on the print side of things, at least for paperbacks, and those can now often be found in (or ordered by) various places.
@betaquarii@bookstodon I'm curious to see what kinds of responses you may get. I have an older Nook Glowlight that has served me fairly well although the display is sometimes a bit sluggish to update, and I'm curious whether the newer models do any better.
@mjjmori@bookstodon Huge fan of The Expanse, never touched the books. They are on my immediate to read list, this was my intro I guess. Story was good. Even as a short, don’t think it’s something I’d read again but I also wouldn’t mind the idea worked into a full length story.

I know this might seem an odd request, but I'd like to celebrate the removal of my first novel's #Kindle edition from #Amazon. It was published by a now-defunct small press that went out of business in early 2019 and orphaned a lot of books, so if anybody had bought the Kindle edition of Without Bloodshed since then I wouldn't have gotten paid.

@likewise@bookstodon Kingsolver deserved the #PulitzerPrize for Demon Copperhead. She hits so many issues related to poverty and inequality and the corporatization of human services such as foster care. Demon is a totally wonderful character who makes the reader cheer for him from the beginning to the end of the book. A compelling read.

When I read The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown, there are some things I did search. A person can go way deep than I did while reading that book, it had a lot of stuff regarding Freemasonry. Maybe you should do a summary when you finish the book. This platform may be safer than the other ones. Let us know! :D
