Horizon Chase 2 - poorly optimized?

Horizon Chase 1 ran great on the Deck, was a really fun game to play. Now I tried Horizon Chase 2 and was surprised how bad the performance is. It’s stuttering and freezing every few seconds rendering the game unplayable. Has anyone in here tried it yet? Is there anything I’m missing or is the game just badly optimised?...
