That one’s already come and gone lol

gezginorman,

for me too. we’re this century’s people now

Tessellecta,

As someone born in 2000: No cause that day will not come.

BurnedOliveTree,

Well, technically this was still the XX century

bigkix,

Year 2000 is 20th century. 21st century started on January 1st, 2001.

alvvayson,

I know this, yet I still celebrated the new century/Millenium with the rest of humanity on Jan 1st, 2000.

It’s just aesthetically more pleasing to conveniently ignore the technicality.

Lux,

i don’t like that, so i will forget i ever read it

Are you having an affair with the random computer?

Four more years… I’ll keep that in mind

JackGreenEarth,

I’d be over 180.

chunkystyles,

You were born in 1910?

JackGreenEarth,

No, early 2000s

For me, it was the year I turned 22. At that point I was older than both parents when they had me. I realized how dumb i was, and how little life I had lived, completely incapable of raising a human. My parents sacrificed a shit load just for me to be alive, and did their best in the time they were born into, and all the external forces at work on a young mind, and the choices at hand. I still don’t have kids lol.

Bluebanrigh,

I don’t know how long ago that was for you, but I hope you don’t feel like that anymore.

FWIW 22 seems awful young to be having kids.

cdf12345,

My birthday a few years ago, I realized I had lived exactly half of my life before 9/11 and half after 9/11.

Then I got depressed because from that point forward, the majority of my existence would be in a post 9/11 world.

NABDad,

32 was a birthday I looked forward to. It was the point where I had known my wife for half of my life.

For some reason, 48 didn’t seem significant.

mojofrododojo,

whoa interesting observation. I’m coming up on this, if I read right. Born in 76 - so 24 years before and after…

A couple of days ago I saw someone casually use the term “the late 1900s” in a comment. I forgot what it was about, but for some reason that hit hard.

sheogorath,

Fuck you for making me having an existential crisis right now.
