RIP_Cheems, What’s a tery?
lugal, Most cars have a tery but what is it called in the batmobile?
RustyNova, The battery duh
RIP_Cheems, Bat-tery. Battery.
RIP_Cheems, Oh. God damnit.
metaStatic, Next to the 710 cap
Todd_cross, He’s Batman Beyond
moshtradamus666, That’s funny because it was kind of an old joke made in Brazilian Portuguese and I’ve been seeing a lot lately. I wonder if a fellow Brazilian translated the joke.
yum, Damn these brazilians are everywhere
sangriaferret, Well, there are a brazillion of them.
yum, Ba dum ts
Kase, Probably a stupid question, but did they have to change the original joke for it to translate into English? I don’t know any Portuguese, just curious if the play on “battery” works in both languages
danteog, It does, bateria is battery in portuguese
Kase, Neat, thanks!
xantoxis, This joke always bugs me because it’s a spoken conversation in the context of the joke. He would say “what’s an Ery?”
danteog, I also think this joke doesn’t work very well when spoken, but it is what it is
oce, You have to imagine Robin has a Japanese accents so he pronounces the double consonants: bat-tery.
troyunrau, There’s a company in Winnipeg, Manitoba, called “Battery Man”. Which is funny on a lot of levels. They lean into batman symbols a lot. But also, Manitoba is often abbreviated as Man (historically it was our postal abbreviation and such).
