@Pinklacey "tankie" is slang for someone who uncritically admires and praises the Soviet Union, Red China, or their modern equivalents (i.e. Russia and modern China, even though they cannot reasonably be called "communist")
is a perfect example of a tankie. Constant and unironic support of Russia, an whenever their current imperialist and authoritarian efforts get brought up the response is “well the US is worse”. They post hundreds of times a day. They constantly think they are here to “debate”, although they are genuinely not actually capable. They think they want to see something like the USSR come back, when in reality they are a highly paid software developer living in Toronto, and they can only have this kind of opinion because they live in a western democracy.
They are the authoritaian left equivalent of a libertarian or Trumper, but realistically they are just dorks with no grounding in reality.

Heya, seems you made a post to lemmy from a mastodon instance.
You can post to lemmy from mastodon, but there are a few things to keep in mind:
The first line of your post is the title (if you only post 1 line lemmy will duplicate it), Lemmy only allows text here and things like links will look broken.
Hashtags do work on Lemmy, but they will not be useful for discovery here we use communities instead (which display as groups on mastodon)
Only the first image in your post is visible on Lemmy, be mindful of this when posting image or video content
I am a human that stumbled upon your post, if you have any questions feel free to reply.
On FB, I generally only post to "Friends" or "Close Friends". Yet, I keep getting these "Suggested for You" posts in my feed. Some are advertisers, many are clearly from bot-farms trying to start arguments. I mean, the Fediverse may have it's bad actors, but not on the coordinated scale that Facebook has.
😂 Seriously though, nice pic, but not the place and sad about the (what I can only assume is an) ad-forwarder link or whatever… I used to boldly check them out anyway, but I’ve learned not to the hard way by now. 😅
