I’m toying with the idea of trying to get Linux on my Fairphone 3 running. But one thing that was lacking on my Pinephone back then was the lack of a good Signal client. There were one or two available, but they were clunky. I helped out with one or two tickets but I lacked the time to do more and now I lack the energy....
The only app I miss from Android is BirthDayDroid. This app takes birthdays information from contacts and send notifications about them. Also provides convenient interface too look at the upcoming birthdays. GNU/Linux phones also have contacts and also support birthday fields. But is there a similar app to notify about...
Most clients unfortunately target Android. But for things I open often I prefer to not use Waydroid....

Hi. I’m trying to open my kdbx database from NC in UT. I added my NC account to the system. I can also open my NC via GhostCloud, but Keepass refuses to open the file. Can integrate the NC folder into the system like in desktop Linux?

I have been looking at Linux on phones(Ubuntu touch) with the intention to use it both as smartphone as well as desktop replacement. It really fascinates me. But it looks like there is no hardware anymore that supports display out and USB dongles. Why are there no up to date phones that have convergence mode?

Basically a small touch display with optional camera and motion sensor....
The phone is actually a nice handheld, can play up to PSP and Dreamcast. But heavy games require disabling buffer effects and frame skip....
