I am currently using nVLC, and it works fine. However, I was wondering if there are any other nice alternatives available out there. I mostly play web radios, so streaming capability is important to me....
Hello fellow lemmings! According to this reddit discussion in 2018 there wasn’t any foss alternatives to google pay. How’s the situation in 2023?
Marco Polo is a “video walkie talkie” allowing videos to be recorded and sent to contacts like close irl friends and family....
Can you recommend a good FOSS RSS news feed? Until now I was reading It‘s FOSS but it has the worst design of any feed I’ve ever seen....
I’ve gone between a few but on desktop it’s Librewolf. Just like Firefox but more privacy by default. On Android I’ve tried Fennec, Brave, Iceraven, and Mull. Out of all of them Iceraven has been my favorite simply because of its support for desktop extensions.

I have a bit of data that has to be encrypted and stored into a file so that it can be moved across file systems and possibly OSes. Disk encryption like dm-crypt and a loop device isn’t appropriate as it may not exist on another OS....
Considering the potential of the fediverse, is there any version of that for search engines? Something to break up a major point of internet centralization, fragility, and inertia to change (eg Google will never, ever, offer IPFS searches). Not only would decentralization be inherently beneficial, it would mean we're no longer...
It is a Java-based app that runs on Windows, Linux and macOS that provides an amazing amount of rich text formatting options for sticky notes, auto-roll up notes, protection and encryption of notes, alarms, colours, attaching images or files, and much more. Although you could use it for organising masses of notes into groups and...
A good site that helps me find great alternatives to non-oss that I have grown accustomed to.
The protest has never ended. We have been trying to communicate with Reddit admins, who seemed at first to be willing to talk to us, but we are only getting the silent treatment and threats to reopen the subreddit.
