I think longterm we’ll have to cut funding for political parties from outside sources or even entirely. This has turned into a propaganda money arms race and lobbying money arms race and will continue to undermine our democracies imo.

Each party gets an identical fixed sum from the state and then then they have to win by convincing, not brute force marketing and manipulation. Or so goes my wishful thinking.
