Problem with the dishwasher
Hi, I have an Indesit 15b1 and it won’t run a cycle. When I turn it on, I get a error code, 3 green solid, amber start light and red flashing salt light. Nothing about it in the manual, Indesit said the same thing....

I am using an old HP Pavillion 15 to make a tablet. I have all of the internal components, and am making a shell. Does anyone know what the easiest way to make a case for those parts would be?
So my roommate is a habitual cigarette smoker. He doesn’t smoke indoors (thankfully) but he does smoke about every other night outdoors. I don’t think he realizes that when he’s done smoking the smell sort of… lingers on him and his clothes. Last night after he was done he was in the kitchen for a bit cooking. I came in...
Hello everyone, I am pulling my home’s existing ethernet cables from the garage and into my home to install a network rack. Currently my garage does not have insulation (for a future project), so it get’s too hot during summer for my router to live there, so I want to install it in my mudroom where there is insulation. My...

Well, the dryer has been disassembled and vacuumed, the dead coil removed, the new coil swapped in, ready to reassemble as soon as the new belt arrives. I was surprised how much of the brown shmutz in the heater was just ash from the coils - it dusted off quite shiny after I replaced the coil....
I feel like I have a moral responsibility to attempt to repair anything before making it waste. So I’m trying my hand at the dryer. Sadly I didnt’ realize that the whole tub joint pops upwards so I detached the tub from the join and then found the join comes off pretty easy anyways....

I need to build one that can be used outdoors....
I have an unfinished basement. It would be a great place for a workshop but some hobbies don’t do well in a dusty environment. Would setting up an air purifier help? Even then I’m concerned it wouldn’t get the entire volume of air....
I’ve had this Vax upright for about 5 years. Recently it’s started to cut off when I’m using it. I feel the base - and it’s hot. Any ideas for anything that I can do to fix it?...
The whole thing disassembled...
Hello fine people of Beehaw,...
Hiya, I hope I’m not completely in the wrong place (/c/Technology seems to only be dedicated to tech news but not questions). I have this powerbank with a built-in solar panel. The powerbank itself seems great so far, but it’s a pretty tiny solar panel. I’ve read about the difficulty of just hooking up a regular powerbank...
I’m planning to construct a home sometime in the near future in hot, arid part of the country. Obviously, keeping the home cool is a major concern and I’ve been considering all available options....
My children are interested in making their own soap. I bought one basic piece of white soap and I have cocoa powder. I plan to melt and mix them slowly. Am I doing this right?...

Have a porch outside that is cracked and rotten, and the header boards are split and can’t be drilled/screwed into. So I need to replace those. What’s the correct way to attach 2x6 headers to concrete blocks, to remain secure and proper? This would specifically be for 2x6s flat against the concrete, not end to concrete.
Hey all,...
I’m starting to get more interested in building more complex things, but am unsure how to plan out my ideas. Is there a good source on drafting/planning designs? I honestly have no idea where to start.
See title. I have only very little tools so far, screwdriver with plenty of bits, hammer, drill. I’ve been thinking of buying more tools for general purpose home improvement. I like to work with wood, unsure what I will expand into later. Is a multitool a good fit for me?...
Last year I had an old concrete porch re-done. Long story short, they did not keep it wet when curing, and now the concrete has several cracks in it. I’m concerned about the cracks getting worse and spreading over time, so I am thinking about filling the cracks with some kind of compounds. Any recommendations? I’m thinking a...
I am drawing out diagrams for a project I want to do to involve loads of buttons in a 8x8 grid but… I don’t know how to go about driving them, if someone could show a simple way to not use a lot of pins to accomplish this I’d be happy as then I’d be able to continue drawing out my plans....
