cybirdman, There is no concept of personal “algorithmic” feed here unless he subscribed to a bunch of hentai communities. I agree that when browsing on Everything sorted by New, there is a LOT of hentai. That includes AI generated hentai that seems popular here, probably because it is a legal gray zone.

NPC, When first joining Lemmy, without subscribing to any communities yet, I got absolutely bombarded by hentai and just porn in general. I had to keep blocking every community that popped for a week of so before they started to dissappear.

I already had to put a filter on Mastodon to stop seeing their creepy posts on my timeline with a #gaming tag, even though it’s got nothing to do with gaming. Bluesky is also full of them and one of the main reasons I barely look at it.
