Steve Schmidt. He has a long history as a conservative strategist which is a huge red flag for me, but I think it would actually make him more palatable to right-wingers. I watch his show 'The Warning' and he makes a lot of sense with his positions. He is extremely clear in his criticisms of Trump, but he also doesn't focus on culture war nonsense. I'm willing to compromise as long as the person can think straight and face reality, which is seemingly an extremely high bar now.
Nobody. No matter who the president is, they never hold their promises and the real leaders are the oligarchies that pays both democrats and republicans. So no matters who becomes president, it's never a win for the citizens.
They keep promising things that require congressional support. But the problem is if they didn't make those kinds of promises, the other guy would and voters would reward that. It's pretty fucked.
Start a nonprofit open source IoT hardware company. Internet-connected smart devices and appliances are cool, but not the way they are implemented now. I'd base everything on common hobby chips like ESP32, AVR, and STM32. Every single device would have a completely unlocked firmware upload port.
Yeahh...but there's no documentation, no schematics, and no legal ability to take the design and modify and redistribute it. That's what I want to change. I want to create the Linux of IoT.
You can mouse over the poster's name and it shows their instance. I think that should be more visible than it is, maybe another option to display it or hide it for those who want minimal space used.
Hmm, can’t mouse over it on mobile. ;_; I’m considering switching to a different instance because the more I try to use kbin, the more confusing and less user friendly it seems.
You have to find what works best for you. Lemmy has a few apps that people are liking, so once the latest version comes out you can try them and see if they work better for a mobile situation. No reason you can't have accounts in both places or more, just to find the best "final" home. We're all still figuring out stuff. :) Just make sure the Lemmy home(s) are connected to places you may want to see, some have been defederated and so don't get the full potential feeds (which could be good or bad for you).
It’ll be hard for you to know whether the people calling will know Hindi. If they’re calling from Delhi or New Delhi, the chances are high. If they’re calling from Mumbai, they might well be Marathi speakers instead. In Kolkata, the main language is Bengali. India is full of different languages.
