I drove a sports car, it was super easy to speed in that car cause you had no real sign you were going too fast. The standard cars you feel they're working a bit harder, there's a bit of noise, a little rumble, you feel like the car is working. But this one I accidentally went 100mph cause the road was clear and I genuinely just thought I was doing 70.
As far as driving, I think to get those 0-60 in 0.2 seconds speeds you'd need to really slam the accelerator, driving normally it's very smooth but controllable. I don't know if that's different in an automatic, I was in a manual. I never felt it was getting away from me or whatever, but when I wanted to overtake it was super easy, you can do overtakes that you wouldn't normally attempt cause you could just pop in front very quickly.
I haven’t driven anything quite that fast. But in my experiences the gas pedal is just more sensitive. I’ve never experienced one that has any noticeably longer travel. In terms of co trolling it around town, that’s why you have different gears. Especially since a good portion of cars are automatic/semi-automatic/dual clutch systems that do the work for you. And when some of these systems have more than 5 or 6 gears like normal cars.
I would rather see each service mature separately and focus serving its purpose well. kbin needs enough work as it is without trying to take on even more project scope. And how many users really want or need a combined Mastodon/Lemmy/PeerTube/Pixelfed/Misskey/whatever site?
@kersploosh Kbin's development seems to be slow due to the creators IRL issues as of the moment what is understandable, I know there is a team of people working on Mbin a fork of Kbin I was more wondering if they where hoping to create it into something like that or at least allow us to view things like Videos from PeerTube as that at minimum would just allow an easy "Hey This person Uploaded" without having to be on your PeerTube Instance.
I would love to see this as well, seeing as how Microblogs prosper! Please, add your ticket to https://github.com/MbinOrg/mbin/issues - it's a recent fork of Kbin that's governed by a community.
Also, account for possible scope creep and try finding a solution in what Mbin already has to provide with extra steps. For example, test whether the video you post on PeerTube with one of the tags featured on a magazine does actually appear on Mbin. It most likely does not... unless you try following the PT account from Mbin? Do media previews work on these posts? We could really use some help understanding this model and possibly make a fun multimedia experience that would outgrow plain text.
@vintprox Thank you for the suggestion, been using Mbin for the past couple of days and have been loving it. Sadly I'm not really good with code so can't help with any of the implications of PeerTube stuff but I will see how it reacts to Mbin and if it embeds into mbin instead of just redirecting you straight off the site.
@rikudou Just would be cool to see someone attempt to at least make a platform where you can see a good portion of the fediverse including videos as PeerTube doesn't seem to be quite there with how it functions atm.
While it's easy to prove rigorously I think the easiest way to think about it is to think what number/numbers could go between 0.9 repeating and 1.
I guess that it also requires a second thought experiment that if no numbers can go between two numbers, those two numbers must be the same.
edit: this might be even easier:
1/3 = 0.333... -> multiply both sides by 3
3/3 = 0.999...
1 = 0.999...
