I’m in the middle of reading Gary Taube’s new book, “The Case for Keto”. I’ve been on and off a paleo/keto/low-carb diet since 2010. The last few years I let it slip, but still maintain a focus on eating real foods. Less processed items at home....

We're reaching the end of an era wherein billions of dollars of investor money was shovelled into tech startups to build large user-bases, and now those companies (now monoliths) are beginning to constrict their user-bases and squeeze for every single penny they can possibly extract. Fair or not....

I like unusual shirts and recently took it upon myself and my wife’s sewing machine to start making my own shirts....

I’ve been playing more and more magic recently, and have been even maintaining both a modern deck (izzet murktide sorry) and a pioneer deck (arclight Phoenix though it’s not suuuuper strong rn) I don’t really play commander because unfortunately none of my friends IRL actually play with me!...

My wife and I recently got a charcoal smoker/grill after our old bullet smoker finally rusted through. It came with a pizza oven attachment and we’ve been slowly perfecting our dough and cooking techniques....

We could tag the titles of posts, for types of post or food, say [BBQ] at the beginning then space and the title. I saw others are using [Homemade] which is awesome. By having it at the beginning it’s easier to scan. Maybe another for [Cookbook] – any other tag examples we could do?...

Thinking of self-hosting some basic tools; SearxNG, Bitwarden, Lemmy....

My wife and I received a smoker as a gift so we’re new to smoking foods. I saw that smoked cream cheese was a thing, so had to give it a shot....

I do a lot of tabletop wargaming projects, but sometimes it’s nice to just make something out of nothing for the sake of it. I don’t get to show these projects off much.

Smoked a 10lb Boston butt this past weekend to help feed some friends on a small “get away” cabin trip. Turned out pretty okay. Lessons learned, every time!...
