What an idiot. I hoped the slaughter of civilians would stop then and I hope the slaughter of civilians will stop now. I think most sane people have that in common.
I followed the links to the tweets and videos, I’m not convinced by the videos at all. Sad thing is, I don’t have to be to assume the claims are right. It’s terrorists against a regional superpower, both use dirty tactics.
This article seems to mix antizionism and critique of the state of Israel with antisemitism. One could argue that the article is a tool to curb critique of the state of Israel by abusing the general dislike of antisemitism. That would be war propaganda.
I tried Active, the first few posts are reasonable but suddenly weeks and even months old posts started showing up. I don’t know what’s going on, necroposting is hardly activity.
Why don’t you block the meme and shitpost communities if they don’t interest you? I would especially recommend to block ShittyMemes based on your woes.
And now there’s a growing disagreement between some users and the Nextcloud devs. We’re told to hack our systems to disable a badly working “AI” mail inbox, same with privacy leaks from the text editor. Asking if Nextcloud Talk can work on non-google phones, users are borderline insulted for wanting something different than what the devs deem we want. There’s so many features that’s advertised that doesn’t work right or at all. In particular NC Social and E2EE, two “massive” features that first drew me to Nextcloud years ago. They still don’t work.
I don’t want an AI assistant system most self-hosters can’t use anyways (AFK it needs a beefy GFX card, which most VPS and self-hosting setups don’t have access to), I want to be able to write down links in my text-files without my “privacy conscious” server visiting the link to get a preview.
I just want a system I don’t have to fight and Nextcloud is increasingly becoming one.
I suppose the data farmers administration saw that the chains of addiction wasn’t strong enough to overcome your dislike of the systematic abuse and had to lower the amount of psychological tricks to keep you coming back.
People who uses both reddit and lemmy, mastodon and twitter, facebook and friendica… Unless you’re doing it to harvest content for the fediverse, you might as well just stay on the mainstream platforms.
We’ll never be able to compete with the rest of the world until people leave those platforms and come here. So what do you gain from being on the fediverse? It’s slow, filled with stranger people, doesn’t have all that juice content you crave. It’s just people who are willing to make some sacrifices to work towards a better internet.
IMO no, there’s always a ton of (USER DELETED THIS COMMENT) or (COMMENT WAS REMOVED) or whatever. It’s like a Swiss cheese there. Sure reddit often shows up when you use websearch but if you specifically look towards reddit for answers? I don’t think that’s an efficient way to find good answers, although it might be a good way to find the answers you like.
There’s better phone operating systems around, I can firewall apps completely or lock them to use VPN only. And with android finally getting better permission controls, I can individually approve all of those datapoints you listed.
Oh. Well, can I recommend NewPipe with Sponsorblock for your video perusal then? It also supports PeerTube instances, so it’s also a Fediverse video client! :D
I’ll respect that you hold that opinion if you respect that my opinion is opposite.
Yes? Nice.
No? Well it’s just madness thinking your opinion in itself is more valuable than mine. I don’t interact with crazy people. Fuck off. I said fuck off. No, keep your drool away. No you can’t lick my ear?! AAAAAAHHH
I am sorry this the only screenshot i have, my laptop fan suddenly started up and wouldnt stop for like an hour so i opened sytem monitor and this was taking 25% cpu usage
Me neither. I’ve tested Brave, Firefox and LibreWolf+uBlock Origin on desktop. Nothing. Firefox, Iceraven, Brave and NewPipe on Android. Still nothing.
What gives?
Well, besides YouTube giving us videos without ads…
No, I prefer to communicate with people able to understand sarcasm in light of the context. The best I can offer is for you to block me to avoid being exposed to my ultra-high level, military grade sarcasm.
The only thing I dislike about Mint is that their forums uses that awful Sukuri(?) firewall that blocks VPN’s, and when people complain about it the forum users say that the firewall doesn’t block VPN.
I half expect if I ever needed to seek help in the forum to, say, ask for help with boot problems the reply would something like “You don’t have boot problems”.
But that’s not really a Linux Mint problem, so I guess there’s nothing I dislike about Mint.
This year we made good progress. You know, Linux gaming becoming better, Reddit fucking up, Metaverse failing etc. But on the other hand Big Tech has or are planning to make some moves. Such as, Google’s Web Enviroment Integrity API (EDIT: they backed off), UK’s encryption bill, etc....
