What about muCommander

ravermeister, to peertube in Scaling PeerTube
@ravermeister@lemmy.rimkus.it avatar

Maybe peertube could create a runner program similar to the Gitlab Runner, then every one who likes could contribute resources.

ravermeister, to opensource in I, Voyager: Open-Source Software Planetarium
@ravermeister@lemmy.rimkus.it avatar

I think Stellarium is a very good alternative too

ravermeister, to programming in What are your hobby programming projects? I need some inspiration.

last.fm Tube a combination of last.fm and YouTube

ravermeister, to science in Good bit of science detective work (image manipulation, paper now retracted)
@ravermeister@lemmy.rimkus.it avatar

First thought was, maybe it was printed with an Xerox printer😃

ravermeister, to lemmy in Why is there a lack of gifs/videos on Lemmy?
@ravermeister@lemmy.rimkus.it avatar

For me the sync between lemmy and joinpeertube.org is still not working flawlessly. syncing new posts from peertube to lemmy suddenly stops working. When I force a sync by searching a new post from a subscribed peertube channel through Lemmy, syncing works for a while, and the the problem described above occurs.

ravermeister, to programming in How to make a personal documentation environment?
@ravermeister@lemmy.rimkus.it avatar

You could also use fossil as SCM, it is small, a single executable and has a wiki (and bug tracker) in it, so you could keep your documentation and code close together

ravermeister, to linux in Certificate of Destruction
@ravermeister@lemmy.rimkus.it avatar

I love the humour in it

ravermeister, to linux in Linus Torvalds -- Creator of Linux -- defends gun regulation, woke communists, womens rights AND trans rights. Linux is political!
@ravermeister@lemmy.rimkus.it avatar

I create software by myself and disagree. First it’s very political where and for whom I choose to develop software. Second, software is always made for a purpose and the purpose can be indeed (and is) very often linked to political or social cause. E.g. a software which only purpose is to harm people, say for controlling mass destruction weapons is in my point of view a very political software
