This is the ideal sort of encryption for 99%* of the population. For the 1%, an option to forego the Apple stored key is an option.

If you did a random survey of users if they want a secure backup, e2ee encrypted, they will say yes. Overwhelmingly. But if you ask the question based on the outcome of a forgotten password: “If you lose or damage your phone and have forgotten your Apple account password, would you like all of your iCloud photos, messages, emails, contacts, and documents to be instantly destroyed and unrecoverable or should Apple be able to restore everything if you can prove it’s your account?” they will almost certainly choose the latter.

First, you need to decide if you want 3D printing to make things or you want 3D printers s as a hobby. If the former, I recommend at least $600 and preferably $1200 (Prusa Mk3 or Mk4, assembled) as an entry level machine.
That out of the way, there are a lot of kits out there which are fun to build, from models (Millennium Falcon or Rocinante) to sample ICE engines to fun and interesting mechanisms. If you get good with basic design you can print repairs and interesting things that are hard to buy. I’ve made weird stuff like a nut for a Toto flush handle, a customizable collet for pens in a Cricut machine, and a zero-stop for using the Warthog gaming throttle in a space flight sim. None of those are (or were) sold commercially when I designed them.
Printers are useful but ridiculously slow. A day for a single, 15 cm cubed part is not unusual. It’s a lot like building your own Slackware server. There are pre-built versions (unRaid) and a million uses - but if you don’t have one of those uses and aren’t willing to get your hands dirty and your head deep into forums to set things up and/or fix them, it will be a waste of time and money.

Between the removal of nsfw from r/all and my browsing Lemmy there seems to have been quite the explosion in AI generated nudity. One of the things I liked about the r/all nsfw was the “discovery” as I might flip through the days latest news. I say that because the images I’ve seen are whatever you horny bastards upvote enough to make a Top list. The AI images look like bad Instagram filters - or maybe filters that are just too good. It’s almost past the uncanny valley, but not quite. As for the skin tone and ethnicity I just assume that’s the bulk of the user base self-selecting.
I will say that my teenage self would have been salivating at these. The older me finds most of them, if not disturbing/offputting for appearing so young, a bit too perfect for my taste. To drop a quote: “the sadder but wiser girl’s the girl for me” these days.

My reply to the the whole thread would be bread/sourdough. Healthy might be pushing it, but a whole grain, hard wheat (bread flour) at least has a bit more protein. Plus I usually add eithe a bit of olive oil to the dough (good fat) and brush the top with butter (extra taste).

If they have a $4.40 table area credit to compensate me for the lack of physical rental space I’m not taking up, and a $0.35 silverware wash&roll power, water, and labor credit, plus a $1.25 parking space credit for the hour I’m not using the lot, and a $0.45 reception/waiting area credit for not standing around paying someone to call me when my table is ready, then I’d accept the $1.00 boxing fee. But if I’m paying the cost of waiting to be seated, taking up a table for an hour, and parking - which is bundled into the entree price - I think they can spot me a take out container.

True punishment would be active, content rich posters zeroing out their posts and comment history. By doing so, the Google searches - which currently refer a ton of traffic to the site - will start to fade. The body of knowledge- users knowledge, not Reddit’s- is what drives new traffic to the site. I plan to remove my contributions later this month, presuming nothing changes.

eSun PA-HT CF - nylon and CF in a 290C extrusion temp mix. My biggest problem is that I’ve never managed to get the support settings right so supports tend to be structurally bonded to the part and require a dremel to remove.
The other is the eSun PA-LW, which I haven’t found a good use for yet because it’s so @#$@#%$%@ oozy that it pretty much only produces a decent part when in spiral mode. Makes fantastically light parts though.
