What I don't understand about the argument folks need guns to keep the government in check.

The US government has done some of the foulest shit ever. The list is endless.

Ok maybe the english government has done worse but yet gun wielding folks still havn't shot all those motherfuckers.

I think more english politicians have been slaughtered and that was with knives.

@freemo Still early days... The USA, (in it's recent Honky incarnation) is still young. Europe had a 1000 years of beef condensed into Hitler.

However, I have confidence the USA will get time to shine.

The cause of Hitler was economics post WW1, which was clearly an absolute cluster fuck whichever way you spin it.

What if Hitler came to power and it was predominantly his supporters who had the guns?

"I like guns' is as compelling argument as any, 'protection from tyranny' doesn't add up.

It's impossible to say about Hitler, we can't re-run history.

Back to the point, the US government, over and over, does horrible shit and there's been no uprising against it.

America might get it's moment yet - the country seems incredibly divided...

Why hasn't New Zealand had a Hitler?

It’s an emotive subject which I typically don’t involve myself in but the meme you shared I found totally unconvincing (I know, it’s just a meme) from an outside perspective, the gun thing in the US is mad, given how many kids, innocent people etc. get shot.

I’m not the one to change anyone’s mind on the subject. I don’t have any skin in this horse.

Do you have music that you listen to over and over again?

There’s this one playlist that’s practically the only thing I listen to. It’s motivating and positive things to ingrain in my mind. Haven’t gotten tired of it and the playlist has been growing for over 2 years now.

Occasionally I’ll let the app mix and play music it thinks I’ll like, but mainly the same like 25 to 30 songs. I feel like this is one of my many autistic traits.

If you could describe a 'perfect' family, how close would that family be?

How often would they meet / talk?

After a conversation with a counsellor I am confused.

I thought that closeness in families was a good thing, as long as you all get on reasonably well, but apparently it's 'bad' and any family that is close is 'enmeshed'.

I would like to know what you think?
