All jokes aside, most desktop apps and web browsers, nowadays, use ungodly amounts of RAM. The pessimist in me blames Chrome and electron, but in reality it just comes down to programmers being more accustom to having access to more memory than they need.
I say relax and enjoy the lack of slowdowns - having too much RAM is not a problem, but having too little is. Your only concern should ever be trying to avoid the latter, and with 32gb of RAM you should be good until the next big Discord update. (slight /s on that last point)
I enjoyed most of the characters, especially the relationship between the dwarf prince and the elf smith! (been a bit since I’ve seen the show, forgive me for not remembering the names).
I really enjoyed the numenor segments, and anything involving the orcs and their tunnels. Also loved the hooded figure mystery.
I disliked most of the developments relating to Numenor not recognizing a threat and the Harfoots being scared of outsiders; I find xenophobia in media to be kind of a crutch that can be used to excuse lazy storytelling and creating unnecessary conflict, and these developments were no exception.
But, yeah, overall I found the show to be fun and entertaining, and I enjoyed most of the characters. And, yes, this also includes the warrior elf who many disliked. Without spoiling things, I think the actor fit that role very well.
I would give it a 7.5 out of 10, I very much enjoyed watching it and would gladly watch a sequel.
Love how this new series feels exactly like Zero Punctuation, but with better music and a new paint job - feels like a solid refinement of the original!
Quite a few people were playing solo to be able to work out the heists, on day one - allocating an entire server slot for solo games because of the forced always on multiplayer is ridiculous (and probably contributed to the server problems more than needed).
Barely. I played a few levels with it, but the FSR settings you had to use to have the game function at an acceptable framerate left things looking blocky and shitty.
I hope they do something to get it working, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
