smoking is a beautifully executed tax on people via addiction. They created a product they cloak in the terminology of freedom and history, loaded with additional addictive chemicals and pushed it on our youth years ago. It’s not bad enough to kill you or your ability to “produce” but the odds are good it will kill you before you can collect social security and will act as a daily tax as its marked as a luxury good. It’s disgusting for all kinds of reasons that have nothing to do with the filter or the smell.

I’ve never used a distro that offered/forced snaps so I’m not very familiar with this perpetual topic. Given it’s Linux and you have options why would you continue using a distribution who had a main feature you didn’t like?
Edit: Debian is server king. Proxmox, trueNAS, Clonezilla, Ubuntu you can go on and on of very niche tailored and rather amazing products that base on Debian. I’m ever curious if there are people out there using Gentoo, Arch or xyz in the server space.
I’m liking Warp, Tabby and Wezterm currently. Working on a config for my NixOS Hyprland and planning to see how foot does in comparison. Blackbox was pretty cool, but didn’t use it much.
