📚 My next read will be A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik, the first in The Scholomance series.

📚 Just finished reading Ghost Tamer by Meredith R. Lyons.

Picked this up for cheap scares on Halloween and it delivered so, so much more.

Paranormal threats, friendly ghosts, deep character relationships, emotional moments, and some cute feel-good parts in between. Not what I expected from a "horror", but in the best way possible.

Absolutely gutted to learn that Shadow and Bone is being cancelled by #Netflix. There won't be a season 3 or a Six of Crows spin-off:

📚 Took me a little bit, but I've finished reading the second book in the Grishaverse trilogy: Siege and Storm.

Decent series for fantasy fans, although this is a rare occasion I thought the TV series was better than the novels so far mostly due to them blending Six of Crows characters in which were more interesting than those here.

📚 Just got done #reading Shadow and Bone, the first #novel in the #Grishaverse trilogy by Leigh Bardugo.

I read this after seeing the TV show and reading Six of Crows, but it was awesome to see the foundations of how the entire universe of the #Grisha started!

I am not sure which book I'd ask for though. Last year (before the total collapse of it all), I asked for the Harry Potter series. I had been dying to get the physical copies of them since I became a fan back in highschool. :blobcathug: :blobcathug: :blobcathug: But since the issue with 𝘚𝘩𝘦-𝘞𝘩𝘰-𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭-𝘕𝘰𝘵-𝘉𝘦-𝘕𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘥, it became stale and I practically had the longest reading slump in my entire life so far.

📚 Finished reading Black Lies from Mercedes Mercier.

Prison psychologist Laura Fleming works against the clock to get a terminally ill inmate to reveal details of a murder he committed 15 years prior, only not everything is as it seems.

This is fast-paced, page-turning thriller writing done right.

What you're looking for seems to be blogs. Before YouTube made "vlogging" (video blogging) widespread, many people blogged with text. There's still tons of useful/entertaining blogs out there depending on your interests.

There's sites like Medium (https://medium.com) which is a fairly popular centralized service. There's even Fediverse instanced communities based on software like WriteFreely (https://writefreely.org/instances). Many just have independent blogs around the web, though.

📚 Finished reading White Noise by Mercedes Mercier.

This book follows Dr. Laura Flemming, a prison psychologist tasked with writing a parole report on an inmate who seems to be a model prisoner, but who she feels is hiding something.

An excellent debut novel. A page-turner that won't disappoint fans of the thriller genre!
