The Spider-Man: No Way Home - The Art of the Movie book just landed on shelves worldwide, and in it, the film’s director, Jon Watts, confirmed what audiences always suspected about the ending of the movie: it ends at the beginning.
Disney would be in-fucking-sane to let go of an MCU Spidey. It would be like having X-men without Professor X, or removing some other staple hero. Spidey is far and away one of the most valuable singular heroes in the Marvel Universe, alongside Iron Man, Cap, and perhaps Wolverine, and each of those only truly became MASSIVELY popular after the movies. Spidey was already a juggernaut before that, in the comics world, and the Maguire movies.
No way do we not get another MCU spidey, whether it’s Holland or not.
Second this, though it can be a bit rough for new players to get the hang of all the many systems they use. Once you figure out how to build around specific frames though, it’s totally brain dead slaughterfest for the most part
Iirc (and as an extreme novice) superconductors allow for transfer of incredible amounts of energy with little to no loss, but require extreme supercooling to do so. A superconductor that doesn’t need that cooling would allow super-efficient energy transfer with very little to no cooling needed, meaning the overhead costs are reduced dramatically.
This would be a wonder technology if proven to be true, but my understanding is most of the rest of the world is highly skeptical at the moment. It’s like having your cake and eating it too.
Why on earth would taking wealth from everyone (and it turns into everyone – There are non-executive wage earners working mundane jobs who pay 50% taxes on their last bit of income and basically pay that on any overtime they work) and concentrating it in the hands of a few insanely powerful government workers ever result in...
Indeed. And how is this a “…miniature epiphany that highlights the oddities of the familiar”?
It follows neither the letter nor the spirit of the community, and moreover creates disagreement in a community meant to be lighthearted and at worst, darkly amusing.
I like the concept of turning into other creatures on my own volition. There’s a prestige class in third edition called the Shifter which allows for changing into various forms far more than a regular wild shape would allow, such as humanoids, oozes, plants, constructs, dragons, and outsiders (I could turn into an Achaierai if...
Would it not be wise to back up to more modern physical media as well, i.e. an external hard drive or at least a USB drive or heck, even a folder on your computer? I would never ever trust any cloud-or-internet based service with being the sole backup for anything of personal value.
I found about this a few months ago, it’s a free tool that makes the task of managing the internet access of programs a easy one. For example, you can select exactly which process can access the internet manually, of course blocking some system things on windows will disable the connection totally until reactivated....
One of the biggest things I miss about Apollo was the ability to group and order my saved posts, and then search for them. I can’t wait for Wefwef (or perhaps another app…) to bring back that functionality here.
How does that make any sense? A celebrity AMA is like a form of advertisement. I sincerely doubt money ever changed hands between anyone, especially with volunteer moderators at the helm. The celebrity gets to schmooze about their latest project, and Reddit got extra clicks.
What exactly are you saying here, that they should stop moderating the iAmA subreddit altogether? Reddit has shown they will actively remove and replace moderators who do not kowtow to their demands.
