I mean, yes, weed isn’t the cause of his anger issues, but weed no longer helps him the way he thinks it does, or the way it might have helped him in the past.
Yup. Wish he wasn’t so hooked onto the “weed can do no harm, it’s impossible” mantra. I’ve tried to explain it like water: it’s very healthy for us, but you can still drink too much and have dangerous health issues.
My brother is definitely addicted. He smokes to calm himself down, but is just as angry, if not more, after. He’s been smoking so much for so long that he can’t even imagine what it’s like without it.
I mean, I wouldn’t call it predatory for legit businesses, but it is super annoying. I do call in for pricing at places who don’t have them listed, but simply insisting and staying firm on asking for a price usually gets them to cave.
Lots of people. People call in to get a price and end up talking to the person a lot longer than they meant to. I worked in martial arts gyms for a long time, and they all use this tactic, though really they try to get people in to take a class before they give up pricing details. It works a lot of the time, but it’s exhausting to constantly have to go through that process. Not fun.
It’s not that. If the price is put out there, they’re less likely to be able to talk you into buying it, even if you think it’s too expensive. If they get you on the phone and talking the chances of you buying go way up.
I broke things down into smaller achievers and celebrated those achevements.
My achievent was going back to school and getting my AS. I started with 1 class the first semester, then took 2 the second and leveled out on 3 a semester as doable for me with a full time job. Then, I continued along that way until I graduated.
I told myself I was going to apply for as many jobs as I could in the specific states I wanted to move to. Then I applied for about 25 jobs before I got my first interview. They hired me, and I moved.
I don’t know, it was weird. Lots of people had towels on the ground with a bunch of random items on them, trying to sell the stuff I think, but it wasn’t in an arranged way that a flea market would be. At one point a huge fight broke out and a group of people scattered about just picked up all their stuff in one big scoop and ran off, but others stayed and it was kind of chaotic. The fights were like heavy pushing and shouting back snd forth and stuff. No knife fights that I saw or anything.
I think we asked, but I don’t remember what the explanation was. I’ll reach out to my friend to see if she remembers.
To this day, the hostel we stayed at in Paris is the worst of all that I’ve stayed at before, and I’ve stayed in a lot! The employees weren’t very friendly, and I found most of the people in the city friendly in general, so… it was an off trip, lol.
