Sure, the first year (or two) of COVID were wretched, but most of those barriers have since cleared — yet I’m still struggling. I’ve noticed the same with a number of people within my family and neighbourhood....
Saying Tumblr is corporate in nature is like saying the lord of the flies Island was democratic. If they so much as changes a rounded corner to be sharp or vice versa the entire site throws a shit fit.
Probably the same as who gets milked in real life. Animals drink milk too I don’t understand why people are constantly thrown off by this, it’s just as normal if not more normal to drink milk in the animal kingdom.
Cows produce excess milk, and many animals will continue to lactate if milked for an extended period even after giving birth and no longer being pregnant. If it makes them money then why not?
We sell breast milk without forcefully inseminating women just fine, this leap of logic doesn’t make any sense. We treat cows as livestock because we view cows as animals not people, whether their treatment is cruel or not is a different irrelevant argument, but in Zootopia they’d just be seen as people and would have control over the supply so obviously cows wouldn’t be treated the same way in Zootopia as they are in real life. They’d only have to milk themselves and sell it just like when women sell breast milk in real life. If anything it’s even less weird and disturbing to think about than in real life.
Humans sell their own breastmilk to other humans for human consumption all the time in real life, it is completely normal for humans to drink human milk as well as the milk or other animals. The only difference in Zootopia is that every animal would be providing their milk consensually and likely selling it themselves. There’s nothing weird about that.
I would just suggest that while introducing yourself you mention that you’re a nurse working at a trans healthcare clinic and part of your job involves helping people with transitioning, since bringing up your job when introducing yourself is pretty common, and that way they know the option is there and can bring it up themselves if they’d like without feeling put on the spot or called out or like they don’t pass, and you give them the option of outing themselves by choice if they’re comfortable doing so. Even if they suspect that you’ve clocked them it at least gives them some plausible deniability, and it is more direct and clear than using a coded message so you don’t have to worry about them “getting” it. You can ask what they do for work first small-talk style if you want to have more of a lead up to offering that info yourself.
I mean sometimes they do know, they’re individuals after all with varying levels of knowledge and experience. If they say they don’t know I thank them and move on, but plenty of times they’ve been able to answer my questions. Seems a bit patronizing to assume that just because they work at a store like that it means they don’t know anything and can’t answer questions. I actually literally asked an employee a question about a plumbing fixture in a big box store recently and, shocker, they were knowledgeable and had the answer to my question.
This is, of course, an exaggeration of the both of them. Each has its own use case in which it performs better than the alternative. In truth, I use ubo as much as I use reader view :)
Ublock is down there in the trenches battling face to face with the ads for our sake and you dare to insult them? Reader view would be disappointed in you.
You could technically get the same effect early on with an armadillo mod you could find and craft with certain skills to get it to something like 200 armour and use it to wear anything you wanted without having to care about the clothing’s base stats. But they patched it out so I guess it’s a good thing if they made clothing cosmetic only. Personally when a game has clothing I like that has worse stats than clothing I don’t like I’ll still wear the clothing I like and just treat it as a challenge.
Try poutine as soon as possible. Sometimes the best poutine is in the strangest places too. My personal favourites are the poutine from a local bingo hall and the local university in my city for example. So if you end up liking poutine try some out of the way locations if you’re interested in finding the perfect one.
Not 6+ months out why tf would I have to wait 6 months for a Dr’s appointment?? The only thing I schedule that far in advance is a holiday at a destination that takes longer than 5 hours to drive to.
I have adhd so unfortunately my ability to manage time is literally handicapped. The further ahead something is scheduled, the more difficult it is for me to keep track of and remember.
Not using AI to help you write at this point is you wasting valuable time.
Bro WHAT are you smoking. In academia the process of writing the paper is just as important as the paper itself, and in creative writing why would you even bother being a writer if you just had an ai do it for you? Wasting valuable time? The act of writing it is inherently valuable.
Science is about thinking. If you’re not the one writing your own research, you’re not the one actually thinking about it and conceptualizing it. The act of writing a research paper is just as important as the paper itself.
I mean when I read “monitoring each other’s porn intake” I assumed it meant “monitoring how much porn each other watches”. And considering who it was, I assumed that was for the sake of making sure that they didn’t watch any porn. I did not at any point think that they were sharing porn links with each other, because that’s generally not what monitoring someone’s intake means.
Idk about OP but where I live most public stalls do have indicators but not all of them. Often custom bathrooms for places like restaurants tend to be missing them since they’re to some degree custom designed to match a certain aesthetic and I’m guessing in those cases indicators are easily forgotten or just left out of more niche bathroom stall door designs.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this is also an issue in older bathrooms with older stall designs because I remember indicators being less common when I was a kid. But I usually knock if I’m checking a stall like that and don’t try to look underneath until I’ve tried less invasive measures. Honestly usually you can tell just by looking at the shadows on the floor and seeing if there’s any movement or not, without having to bend over to check for feet.
Is it just my circle, or has it been a challenge getting into the Christmas/holiday spirit the last couple of years?

Why don't public restroom stalls have OPEN/OCCUPIED indicators like porta potties do?
I hate peaking under the stalls or knocking doors to figure it out. The answer is so simple.
