InformalTrifle,

I’ll bookmark that one, thanks. Managed to get the fight on YouTube without spoiling the result but will keep this for the future

InformalTrifle,

It’s just that the provided link was http. They have a valid certificate using https. I don’t think it makes them particularly sketchy supporting both http and https

I am pouring one out to this little champ. Stripping HDCP and letting me... archive streaming services from 2016-2023 RIP (lemmy.world)

What killed it, well after reviewing some PS4 gameplay I noticed that it was having audio issues, like it would allow some sounds but not all. It was almost as if it was receiving a 5.1 audio output but was missing the centre channel. Even though the PS4 was set to stereo....

InformalTrifle,

Can you still get working ones? My old tv won’t get a signal from my new receiver because it’s not got a sufficient hdcp version. Would one of these work to avoid a new tv?

InformalTrifle,

A religion of peace, without a doubt

InformalTrifle,

I bet they weren’t atheists

InformalTrifle,

As an alternative to the other options, you can use the watchlist feature within plex and have radarr/sonarr monitor it as a list

InformalTrifle,

I’d love to find out more about this setup. Do you know of any blogs/wikis explaining that? Are you separating the storage from the compute with the HBA card?

InformalTrifle,

I already run proxmox but not TrueNAS. I’m really just confused about the HBA card. Probably a stupid question but why can’t TrueNAS access regular drives connected to SATA?

InformalTrifle,

Makes sense, thanks for the info

InformalTrifle,

Used to be on $140k with on-call paid at $1050 a week (whether called or not). It was later reduced to $550 a week.

In a new job on-call is unpaid but on $230k (plus RSUs)

InformalTrifle,

My TP link switch can detect faults and cable length. I’m not sure it can do both together but it’s possible. Worth checking if you have a switch with those features

InformalTrifle,

Thanks! Where do you find this kind of information?

InformalTrifle,

Finally I can remove my family from my home users. Only added them so they could use Plexamp via my plex pass

InformalTrifle,

They could make you log in online before unlocking the drm to watch it. You could imagine a world where you have to log in on your Blu-ray player before playing anything and then discs would be locked to that user after the first play or something.

I probably shouldn’t have said that. Don’t want to give them ideas

InformalTrifle,

I’m not saying you’re wrong because I don’t know the i2p details, but it sounds like you may be mixing up being connectable with seeding vs leeching.

Once a connection is established, data can go in any direction, seeding (uploading) or downloading. Getting a connection between two peers in the first place needs one party to be connectable via an ip:port. That is already a problem with a massive number of clients behind NATed VPNs

InformalTrifle,

When the money supply grows infinitely then everything priced in it has to grow infinitely
