Well, my friend, he’s kinda poor he can’t afford some books and some streaming services, so he pirates. He pirate books, audiobook and videos and other stuff. Sometimes he buys books he likes a lot out of loyalty to the author (yeah, I don’t understand it either), he likes to read physical books, but yeah, if he hates the...
for legal reasons, I don’t pirate anything… but a friend told me that piracy is more convenient, and that it has more benefits (like, retain ‘ownership’ of content without annoying DRM)
train of thought (legal): what streaming service do I need to subscribe to to watch this? okay lemme go grab my wallet and sign up for an account
train of thought (piracy): click download
if companies don’t want you to pirate their media, they should make it more convenient and flexible to purchase legally. adding DRM and making things subscription-only will push more people towards piracy.
I love the app, but as of late it’s crashing and getting network errors All. The. Time. I’m kinda done bearing through it waiting for it to be fixed. The official app has the same issues....
I tried explaining it in simple terms to a few non-tech-savvy friends and they said it sounded “too complicated.” and they’d rather just deal with the ads than mess around with it.
but then I just end up hearing the first word of each sentence as I read and it ends up like, “The… A… My… Who…. What… how…. When… over….”
for games like that, check if they have a different language that’s voice acted, many RPGs will have Japanese voice acting, and that helps avoid this problem
I have a personal computer, but if I’m going to be sitting at my computer, I’m not usually going to be browsing social media (besides video host/stream platforms)
and I prefer not to browse social media at work using my accounts.
I wish that older games were still available in some official capacity. There’s nothing morally wrong with pirating a game that’s no longer available for sale.
Do you pirate? And do you justify pirating? i.e., what is your piracy philosophy?

Every one always talks about how piracy caused a loss in sales but no one will ever talk about the positive aspects of Piracy apart from the pirate community. (www.pcgamer.com)
