I’m not saying all landlords do so but what you described happens quite often. Landlords buy a property when they already have a place to live in and then rent out said property to someone who has none. And now said someone can’t own a property because there’s none on the market as all are bought out so all what is left to do for those people is to rent. It’s an oversimplification of course and there’s a lot of nuance to it but the general message still stands - if a person with a house buys another house to rent it out then one less house remains to be bought for people with no house.
And to add on the “the second the market opens” part - landlords can buy houses even before they are fully built and liveable which is not really an option for a person with no house because such an investment leaves you with no place to live and no money (mostly).
For a moment, it seemed like the streaming apps were the things that could save us from the hegemony of cable TV—a system where you had to pay for a ton of stuff you didn’t want to watch so you could see the handful of things you were actually interested in....
In the end the people who ran the hegemony of cable TV just got their hands on the TV streaming services and turned it into the hegemony of TV streaming service.
Nothing have changed the goals people at the top had - they just needed time to adapt
DAO+Awakening is just a chef kiss, nothing is perfect in this world but as far as games are concerned DAO is an amazing experience.
DA2, huh, I did finish it like twice I’d say and I don’t remember much. Can’t say much but I guess this fact is something in itself.
DAI got a joke for a story, from the very first minutes it’s just laughable. I did enjoy the crafting and fighting in DAI but even those have a fair amount of flaws (limited number of abilities cause of console support and so on)
I mean take a look at what’s happening in Russia (besides the war) - folks over there had nothing to hide until suddenly they had and quite a few people got a prison sentence for their posts, re-posts and likes made before the war. While Russia is quite an extreme case it’s not the most extreme and you can sit on the “it won’t happen to me/here” pills yet so thought those people.
I just like how some drinks taste and it’s not really the tastes achievable without alcohol I think. Like there’s non alcohol beers, I can see how that’s possible (yet I don’t like beer), but I’m yet to see an alcohol-free whiskey or gin/martini. Despite I don’t have much of a hangover after a moderate amount of good whiskey/gin - the morning is still rougher than usual and me not like it -_-
You can see what an instance has defederated by adding /instances to the URL of the instance. There’s no way to see it for more than one instance (at a time) as far as I know, so yeah, have to agree with you.
Well, you can create an account on an instance that’s defederated from nsfw instances and doesn’t allow nsfw communities inside. For example I’ve seen almost no porn in my ‘all’ feed and had to block like one community from some big instance.
Most European languages seems to share a very large amount of their respective alphabets. The pronunciation may be different but the symbol is the same....
You sure you’ve seen thr Latin alphabet? Maybe you’ve mixed it up with Greek? I’m not trying to be mean or anything, I’m just really confused… the pronunciation is certainly different but the characters are mostly same
