I’m running internet to an out building 550’ from the main house. I’m going to trench an run conduit with pull strings and fiber. Do I just get regular multi it mode with sfp+ connectors on either end? Will my normal 10g switches be fine? Anything else I need to think about?
I’d go for single mode, since it’s usually the same price, if not cheaper. You’ll probably need a fiber splicing machine (and a couple or four splice protectors, depending if you use single fiber or duplex) and a splice box on both ends.
