Thank you for explaining it to me in detail. The mention of my profile was only to give reassurance that I was going to be actively building a community and not just making one and doing nothing. But I can see it from your perspective now. I will remove the mention from the post.
I vote for GoW, but if you are looking to snowball it, play TF2 first since the campaign is short but awesome! Then GoW. It’s decently long, but mostly linear. Then after that, probably Bioshock for similar reasons. Finish it off with Horizon, which can be as wide open as you want it to be, but you can also mainline the main quests to get a more streamlined story experience.
Also, I’m the lead mod over on !playstation so come join us over there if you haven’t already!
They have expansions planned far in the future. They just didn’t anticipate the demand. They announced yesterday that they will reprint the First Chapter and launch the reprint alongside the first expansion (Floodborn) in a bundle this holiday 2023 (USA) and do the same for Europe in January 2024. They will be also launching Floodborn expansion as a solo expansion beginning in mid November in LGS and Dec 1st in big box.
I was able to get the 3 starters and a trove (8 booster packs) just last week when my local big box did a big restock. I’ve played the game with my wife mainly and we are both loving it. I don’t think it’s on life support, I think it just had a rocky launch.
Interestingly enough, even on PS4 GoT had near instantaneous loading times. In an interview it was due to their focus on visual style. Most biomes are composed of singular plant types to get the vibrant uni-color look they were going for. The result was incredible loading times. I played the first half an PS4 then waited for the PS5 upgrade 60fps patch before I finished. So goooood!
