To my knowledge there’s no stagnant water on my property, I’ve run water through all my ptraps, and I’m careful to not leave doors open. Yet at any given time there’s at least 3 in my house. I can’t sleep, i can’t sit on the couch, i can’t exist in the fear of being sucked dry....
Main reason you need to brush daily is because plaque turns to tarter after about 24-36 hours. Plaque is soft and can be brushed off. Tarter on the other hand is hard as your enamel. Brushing will not remove tarter. Overtime the tarter will build up and get under your gums and cause your teeth to separate from your jaw. It’s why going to the dentist twice a year for a cleaning is so necessary as they will scrape off the tarter that builds up.
Gum health is another factor that brushing alone will not take care off. Flossing will prevent bacteria growth and infections. That’s another source of how people lose their teeth as they get older.
Bottom line is without daily oral care you will lose your teeth as you age.
Not really. I stopped using Reddit and even though I am using lemmy it so far hasn’t been a true replacement. Overall my engagement has gone down hill significantly. I might check lemmy once or twice a day. I used to be on Reddit all day. Ultimately this is better for me overall. Even if I wanted to there just isn’t enough content for lemmy to be a replacement for my Reddit usage.
No it does not. The led flash occurs when the message is sent. It doesn’t persist. The entire point the notification led on Samsung phones is to tell you repetitively that you have an unread message.
That means if you look at your phone an hour after you received the message you’ll know you have an unread message without having to interact with the phone. It’s a nice feature for someone that doesn’t like constantly checking their phone.
Besides the flash led is super obnoxious. I can’t imagine why you’d want this flashing every time you get a message. I can’t imagine it being great for battery life either.
Things like Reddit and Twitter are bad for billionaires. It makes it harder for them to exploit you when there is a public place to talk about their bullshit.
The only use I had for Twitter was laughing at the dumb stuff that celebrities and billionaires tweeted. All of that content was just screen captures that were posted on Reddit. Beyond that I’d never actually go to the site or use the app.
Still waiting for ISPs to change their model ever since “net neutrality” was abolished. With all of this shit with YouTube, Twitter, and Reddit coming down the pipe it really does feel there has been a global change in how corporations are squeezing their customers. I am guessing ISPs are waiting for the bulk of services to change their model before they sweep in with their greed. It’s coming.
Lemmy just had its first major hack. What happens next:

They were a good indicator for notifications that are missed when you were away from phone.
