I’m driving myself nuts eating like a little piggy every weekend even though I eat really healthy during the week. I even like my healthy food so it isn’t like I’m depriving myself. But I meal prep for M-F and don’t have it in me to cook on weekends so I eat tons of junk. So, does anyone else do this? Did anyone else get...
I do the same thing… but on purpose. M-F is my healthy meal prep, and the weekend is when I go wild and allow myself to eat out a lot and get whatever I’d like. It’s like a treat for making it through the week.
I’m thinking of cutting back on my weekend eating out tho (cost reasons), so I might need to start prepping something a little different for the weekend to keep myself in check.
I usually food prep on Mondays for the week and I have such a bad habit of making WAY too many different things for dinner. I can never choose just one thing and end up with a mix of what feels like a bunch of different small meals lol
So I made pizza with red pepper and almond pesto, mozzarella, heirloom tomatoes, basil, and pistachios
Then I made a salad with spinach, spring mix, tomatoes, a variety of beans, jalapeno, and cauliflower… added some of the leftover pistachios, basil, and mozzarella and mixed it up with some olive oil and a bunch of spices.
Then I made some crispy baked sweet potato and brussel sprouts.
And I’m obsessed with the fried rice cakes from Trader Joe’s, so I cooked up some of the tteok bokki they sell.
Outside of that, I got a few yogurts and some fruit for lunch (decided to try something new so got plumcots and cherry plums).
And I have a heck of a sweet tooth, so I picked up some ube mochi, chili dried mango, chili and lime rolled tortilla chips, and blueberry waffles just to have around the house.
Now that I’m reading this all over, this really does feel like a crazy amount of food lol
Through the magic of democracy (Mastodon’s poll function), an account called Dungeons over on the federated Twitter-alternative platform is letting its audience choose their own adventure in an ongoing D&D campaign.
I’m planning on switching platforms and I’m just curious of the opinions of people here. I think that Android can have advantages in areas of privacy and external app installation, but most of the benefits come with a lot of tinkering out of the box....
I like the freedom that comes with android. Being able to customize what I want, download third party apps, easily use third party accessories. I even have it connected to my computer so I can text and open my apps from there.
Apple is just so… closed off. I don’t own any other apple products (and I do not plan on it) so I don’t even get the full benefits of having the whole ecosystem going. There’s just not an upside to using iOS over Android for my personal use case.
Also, I’m currently using a Samsung Fold and I don’t know if I could go back to a regular phone lol. It’s just so unique and really fantastic for multitasking. I don’t think it’s possible to open more than app side by side on iPhone? (Correct me if I’m wrong) but I regularly use 2 to 3 side by side and even have the option to add a 4th in pop-up view if I wanted to lol.
It’s really all preference, but I’ve just never been a big Apple fan and I don’t really like the UI designs for most of their products.
Just as with books, movies, plays etc the past holds a treasure trove of amazing experiences. Unless you have a lot more free time than I do it’s unlikely you’ve played anywhere near the majority of the classics. Let’s get out those pink sunnies and compare notes on some of our favourite releases....
I definitely have a lot that really get me feeling nostalgic. Couldn’t even count the hours I spent playing games as a kid lol but here’s a random list of a few:
Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete (My favorite of all time)
Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age
Dragon Warrior VII
Final Fantasy: Tactics
Chrono Cross
Phantasy Star I and III
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and Minish Cap
I definitely have a few controversial choices. But DQ7 is legitimately my favorite DQ game and I always thought it didn’t get the attention it deserved. It was a long one to get through though.
I’d argue that having Chrono Cross and not Chrono Trigger is even spicier lol. But I think it’s really just nostalgia since that’s what I sunk a lot of hours into back then. I remember hunting everywhere for Final Fantasy Chronicles because it included a copy of Chrono Trigger, but I could never get my hands on it.
Useful android apps you are using?
As in title, preferably open-source, but doesn’t have to, I will start:...
How do you all deal with weekend food?

Yet another reason to ditch Musk's Twitter: You can play a crowdsourced Dungeons & Dragons campaign over on Mastodon (www.pcgamer.com)

Why shouldn't anyone switch to iOS?

Gaming often fetishises the new but many great things exist in the past, so let's strap into our time machines and talk about our favourite games released before say 2010?
