I #read Lauren’s Barbarian by Ruby Dixon (#book 1/Icehome - an Ice Planet Barbarians spin-off) as an #audiobook. I meant to buy Willa’s Beast so I was surprised when I started listening, but it’s Ruby Dixon, so I couldn’t go wrong! In this installment, Lauren gets separated from the group, ends up in a deserted island, and resonates to a blue 4-armed alien who she can’t speak to. #romance#books#reading#romancebooks#romancelandia@romancebooks
Today's review! More Than October by Blake Allwood:
"There is so much to this story, the falling in love, the sharing of pasts, the side characters, the respect of these two men for each other... More Than October has all the feels and more. I could not put it down - it's a must-read."
Book 5 of The Silk Rope Masters is slowly coming together. I had hoped it would have been completed by now but Cancer arrived to stuff up my progress.
I'm hoping to have it finished by early in the new year and ready to submit.
I really love working in Scrivener!
Today's queer indie author review! Going Down" by Lady Jaguar:
"This book is filled with sex, I won’t say romance because that is not in Richard’s vocabulary, but there’s lots of suspense, lies, surprises and two amazing characters… and did I mention sex? 5 Stars."

Why do I love my #Kobo? Not just because I can read 1-handed, though that's critical. When I am on holiday far from home with long passages of passenger travel ahead, I have a diverse library at my fingertips, as my "currently reading" list @thestorygraph shows
Regency Romance, Golden Age style locked room mystery, indigenous Māori/Pasifika shorts, physics popsci and however one categorises @scalzi 😁#AmReading#ebooks@bookstodon#Aotearoa#Mystery#ScienceFiction#Science#Romance
"Full of secrets, lies, surprises, sex and rock and roll. I love the "Road to Rocktoberfest 2023" multi-author series. I would not miss one book (and I didn't) - and neither should you."
QSFers David Connor and E.F. Mulder have a new MM fantasy romance out: Come to the Water.
Ask anyone in Eerie Falls, Louisiana, if the town lives up to its name, and they will tell you yes. Trees that never die, a voodoo priestess, a centenarian mortician who has come back...
I first #read The Lady’s Guide to Celestial Mechanics by Olivia Waite in Feb 2020 when I had a mystery virus that put me to bed for a week. I can only plead illness for giving it only 4⭐️ in GR. This week, I bought the #audiobook. I’ve now revised to a perfect 5⭐️ - a perfect F/F #historicalromance. In addition to the #romance, it dives into access & equity debates of women’s & 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ rights. @romancebooks@bookstodon#books#reading#romancelandia https://amzn.to/3Sn3z50
Samuel was back. It seemed unfair to be blindsided. And in church no less. Shouldn’t there be a commandment about that? Thou shalt not step foot inside thy ex’s place of worship.
Quote: “Whore, yariman, kuzuningen, shine, shine, shine,” Meiko-kun gloated. The air in front of me seemed to waver like smoky glass and beyond I could see a landscape of tumbled monuments, shifting ash, and flickering shadows. The dismal sound of wailing voices filled my ears.
