Tonight’s fun fact: The young reporter whom Samuel Clemons spoke to was played by Alexander Enberg (from Memory Alpha).

Enberg also portrayed Ensign Taurik in TNG’s “Lower Decks” and had a recurring guest role on VOY as Ensign Vorik, who was part of B’Elanna’s Engineering team.

@petertrek1 @brymc81 @allstartrek Oh man, I had heard about Adam Nimoy and Terry Farrell's wedding, but not the divorce. I thought it was cute that they had gotten married.

Yes, me too. I heard they were married but did not realize they were divorced until I looked it up yesterday (it happened last year).

Samuel Clemens told Picard that a frequency setting of .047 on Picard's phaser will activate the ophidian. That's another "47" reference.

Good night!

Oh no!! Something new to look for! I wonder if my ST group knows of this. What can you tell me - like, do you know why? TY🖖🏼

It started with TNG writer Joe Menosky and took off from there during '90s Trek. Here is more information about the number 47 in Trek.

Are we just not going to discuss the major Guinan-Picard origin story that has just occurred

Okay just so we’re clear, it was something that was never mentioned again

Unfortunately that is correct.

I have trouble watching this episode for a silly reason—I can't stand the "I'm Samuel Clemens, by cracky" attempt to convey Twain's voice.

@allstartrek Jerry Hardin as Samuel Clemens is one of my favorite guest stars of the series.

@HippieScubaSteve @allstartrek Seems to look a lot like the actual photos of Mr Clemens – great work from the hair & makeup department on that one

Data and Geordi's conversation in Ten Forward about death and mortality takes on additional meaning in more recent Trek.

I enjoyed Picard. It had it's problems, but I've seen it twice now, and will watch again some time. I don't consider it Trek "proper". More like Trek "adjacent". I don't watch for the same reasons, or with the same expectations I watch TNG, DS9, SNW..., but it's till enjoyable for me.

Yes, PIC focuses on Jean-Luc's stories which are serialized (e.g. 1 main story per 10 episode season) rather than episodic.
