@lxskllr @sezduck @petertrek1 @allstartrek I think they are taking a page out of the soap opera playbook: some people will be fans, others will be haters, but everyone will talk about it.

I will say this about the Worf/Troi thing—I didn't like it at the time, but when I saw Worf, Troi, and Riker interact in Picard 3, it made me at least appreciate knowing the backstory. (Which I guess could be said about the whole series, lol.)

Worf was my favorite characters in Picard 3, by far.

@sezduck @petertrek1 @lxskllr @allstartrek Yes, always the dry, almost-straight-man in the comedy routines. And then in Picard 3, he put sort of a reverse spin on it—sort of like finding out Grandpa has taken up hot yoga and knows more about new bands than you.

So . . . they are transported to some sort of holodeck that simulates all these game scenarios. And the players rolling the dice decide how the players travel through the scenarios. And this was a couple years before Jumanji.

I think this part of the show conflates recombining Kirk with testing out the transporter. They could test the transporter by beaming down/up another living creature to see if it is fixed, then beam up Sulu.
