The fact that we have created modern day domestic dogs and cats means we have a responsibility to care for them. It also means we have a responsibility to mitigate the impact their care has on the planet and all other life.

If the food we feed our pets can be nutritionally fulfilling and tasty, and also benefit other creatures and the environment, why should we continue to kill animals for it?
