As a heads up to my , I'd highly recommend catching up on any of my first six that you might have missed by the end of this year. My 7th, while still a standalone, is very much tied to everything that's come before it and will likely hit a lot harder for you if you're at least somewhat familiar with one or more of my previous works.

Happy Sunday. I don't go to the beach because the things they call that word out here are an insult to actual beaches, but if you're lucky enough to go to a decent one, do this for me.

I have no idea what I built but I spent the better part of two days doing it.

Let your imagination run wild Mastodon! Did I just become a level 2 Druid, awaken the Old Ones, or am I cosplaying Close Encounters of the Third Kind?

Watched this tonight knowing nothing, & was pleasantly surprised. I underestimated this movie at the beginning, & the level to which it would go all in. Had one fucking super creepy scene that gets an A+. And everyone in the cast seemed to be having a good time, but especially Lizzy Caplan. Overall, solid, fun B.

Definitely worth a watch; would make a good double feature with Malignant.

My #bookreview is brief/won't spoil, to spread good, great, & spectacular #horror #books far & wide.

LOOKING GLASS SOUND is a prism, and the story it refracts shimmers & wavers. This book is a marvel; a maze that leads back into itself. Nothing is what it seems & ghosts linger everywhere, crying out to be heard. Catriona Ward has created a tragic, enigmatic, audacious wonder. (Tor Nightfire)

It's rare when a book can surprise, disturb, AND disgust me but THE HANDYMAN METHOD and its imagery has left a few dents on my psyche. This tale of a Haunted House from Hell from Sullivan & Cutter is crazy, gory, dreadful, brutal, & damn wicked. I loved every horrific page. (Saga Press)

Catherine McCarthy's MOSAIC is itself a mosaic: the deftly assembled pieces of mystery, folk horror, & cosmic horror reveal a satisfying, rich novella w emotional depth that's vivid, engrossing, & atmospheric. A modern twist on a familiar mythos that horror fans will relish. (Dark Matter Ink)

No clue what took me so long to read this, but Clive Barker’s “Hellbound Heart” (inspiration for Hellraiser) is fantastic. Imaginitive, fast-paced, and gruesome. @bookstodon

Just watched FINAL PRAYER aka THE BORDERLANDS (2013) for the first time and holy hell. How did I never see this movie before?? Found footage, haunted churches, pagan rituals, folk horror, cosmic dread... This movie has it all.

Exactly the type of movie I love and that consistent, deliberate ramp up at the end leads to such a great WTF moment... Loved it. It's on Tubi. Go watch it.
