MrFunnyMoustache, in Twitter silently removes login requirement for viewing tweets

And yet Fritter doesn’t work right now. Are they blocking 3rd party apps like Reddit, or is it something with Fritter?

Potatofish, in Iran joins forces with Cuba, Venezuela & Nicaragua to blow back U.S. sanctions

Oh my, this is something?

theblueredditrefugee, in US & EU Quietly Begin To Discuss Geoengineering

Once again, when we talk about geoengineering we are focusing on blocking the suns rays instead of removing CO2 from the air. How is blocking out the sun going to help with ocean acidification? That’s caused by CO2 dissolving in the water, not by global temperatures. Every fucking time. Do these people never think?

LeZero,

These people don’t want to upset their masters, otherwise their political opponent will get funding and they’ll be out of a cushy job. Also, they probably have some wealth stashed away and think they wont be affected by climate change, as for the common people, they give zero fucks about them.

This is an expensive bandaid that will or will not work, and adress merely one of the problem caused by human industrialisation, it doesnt adress soil depletion for an example…

Tsouintsouin, in Hit on Chinese balloon was F-22’s first air-to-air strike

Old story you got there

Cqrd,

Well this post is 4 months old, so

PolandIsAStateOfMind,
@PolandIsAStateOfMind@lemmy.ml avatar

it was obviously newer 4 months ago when i posted it but it’s still correct. Afaik even more than i imagined, since that balloon remain not only first but only F22 A to A hit ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Lemmy is borking lately, 2 of my months old posts got suddenly exhumed as “hot”, and i didn’t even post much at all, so the one guy with hundreds of posts is probably now buried in reddit comments.

zephyrvs, in In a First, Delegation of Migrants Attends Brazil's National Health Conference

And people keep on staring at me as if I was crazy when I tell them that the multi-polar world order had already arrived. It isn’t over doesn’t event, it’s many small ones combined.

Exciting times.

yogthos, in China restricts exports of two metals that the EU considers of 'strategic' importance
@yogthos@lemmy.ml avatar

In the long term the west will have no choice but to start creating their own supply chains, however that’s going to take many years to do. Meanwhile, China already has independent end-to-end supply chains and that means Chinese companies will have a huge advantage producing tech products using these rare metals giving China a huge market advantage.

    I feel like those supply chain problems making everything inpossi tongetnand super expensive are about to get even worse.

    Are you ok? Ransomware of the brain?

    Jimmycrackcrack,

    Haha I really need to proofread better. My phone screen is cracked to shit and a lot of stuff gets miss-typed but for some reason it seems to be 10 times worse here on Lemmy. It doesn’t really make sense because I’d assume the keyboard side of things in Android and the app receiving keyboard input were pretty separate but I seem to make a whole lot more mistakes on my Lemmy comments and I only notice them after I’ve posted which is super annoying because posting takes ages and editing takes equally as long.

    Maybe it’s just the UK displays the text smaller or in such a way as I’m just worse at picking up errors before posting.
