Hey! Thanks for the request. As @shortwavesurfer mentioned, it would be extremely helpful if you could create a new issue for this on GitHub as that’s where we track all feature requests and bugs.
If you’re not sure how to do that or need some help, let me know!
Right now, this feature is client specific. Some have it ( like Sync ), most dont.
The happy news is , a serverside option to block an instance is already merged and will be available in next (big) Lemmy upgrade 19.0. After that, the client apps will easily be able to implement it ( Now, i guess they are just filtering posts client side if from that instance )
On testflight (beta) you can reply by tap+hold or short swipe R>L. I actually didn’t know it wasn’t available in the regular release yet. I’ve also disabled L>R gestures because I can’t consistently navigate back without triggering the swipe options, so I’m with you there.
I don’t think this was mentioned yet in a GitHub issue but feel free to create one for this! It would be good if you could also provide some ideas on where to place this and how it should look like. Thanks!
I did actually leave a placeholder for where profile editing should be accessible.
On the account page, your own sidebar has an “edit profile” button. My plans involved making it open a screen with fields for the profile image, banner, display name, and bio.
I added that before the current account settings button for accessing unblocking, however.
In general though, the account page is a bit messy atm, I plan to give it a once over again soon in terms of UX.
The “remove animations” feature is nice. I’ve never liked all the slide transitions in apps, so getting to remove them for me is welcome. Makes everything feel more “snappy”.
One bit of feedback on it though is that the “spring” animation (I can’t remember the proper name for it) when reaching the top and bottom of a page still persists and is a little jarring, so being able to remove that would be welcome too!

Did you mean the overscrolling effects which stretch out the text when you reach the top/bottom? Or did you mean a different effect? It would be helpful if you could create a GitHub issue on this and provide some images/videos to show exactly what you mean!
Thanks for the update! The profile is much-improved, everything is starting to feel more polished. I know this is off-topic, but is there any chance we get instance blocking in the next couple of months? I use the web UI and Thunder and I am really feeling the lack of instance blocking on both. Any time I browse All with New or Hot sort it’s just a mess of lemmit.online Reddit reposts and pornlemmy/lemmynsfw posts. I block every community but there are just too many.
Hey there! Instance blocking is something that I do want to introduce into the app, but the main blocker at the moment is waiting for lemmy to support it natively. Having lemmy officially support instance blocking will make things run much smoother than us trying to hack a way to do it within the app.
Fortunately, it seems like lemmy is working on that feature, and it should hopefully come soon! This is the related link to the lemmy issue: github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/pull/3869
Hey there, thanks for the feedback! I use iOS personally, so I try to ensure that the experience on there works well and is fluent :D
As MentalEdge mentioned, there is still on-going development on Thunder (not specific to the image viewer, but on other parts of the app). To help keep track of these suggestions, feel free to create new issues on GitHub. This will help us organize the feedback and be able to prioritize properly. If you’re not sure how to do that, let me know and I might be able to make them for you when I have the chance!
Did not know about the long tap, thank you! Would be great to be able to maximize an image to fill the entire screen in landscape, for sure. That plus extra zoom would be super helpful when using small phone screens.
