Been thinking about getting a steam deck. Talk me in or out of it. I’ve got a desktop, but thinking something handheld would be good when I want to sit on the couch. What are your favorite and least favorite things about your steam deck?

Just curious what do people have in mind, when they say a game is “working great” or “perfectly”. I believe I’m in the minority, but I just can’t enjoy a game under 45 FPS, or if the resolution has to be under 720p and the UI/text is all blurry because of it. Perhaps it’s because I’m used to playing mainly on PC....
This is if you controller is working fine in the Steam menu once you wake your Steam Deck but unresponsive in the game you was playing....

I’ve had a few issues with the discover store only working sporadicly in desktop mode amd when looking it up found ne good solutions that don’t require a system restart or work reliably....

Since I got the deck the left thumbstick always felt a little funny - almost “static”? Right stick is a bit better but similar. It’s very unlike other controllers like ps5 and Xbox gamepad. It doesn’t have any functional implication at all - just sensual....

I recently started playing Dyson sphere program on my PC again and I get that lovely feeling of being drawn into the game for hours. But since it’s a very mouse-centric game, I don’t want to play it on a steam deck. And because I sit at a desk all day for work, I’d rather lay down on the couch and use my deck instead....
