Good Day Punks!...

Is anyone in this sub or instance a remote worker? I have been one first partially and then completely for a few years now and I began to think as a kinda of solarpunk way of live that has the potential to propel humanity to a more decentralized and sustainable way of life, specially since I plan to move to a smaller town...

Title. I only ever hear about protest in the news, days after they happen. Does anybody know of anything that has nearby protests schedules? Or maybe an app that helps plan protests?...

Frankly, I think it would be foolish to expect any fossil fuel reserves to stay in the ground. Corporations are immortal, corporations own lots of drilling tools, and as long as there is profit to be made in mining and burning fossil fuels, corporations will do it, the Earth be damned....

I wrote a short story about the Fediverse, called “Breath Taker” / “Lamella on My Mind”, which is set in a Solarpunk world, in which, with the help of mushrooms, the so-called Fungiverse replaces traditional social media. I posted links to the short story in this community. Now I’m thinking how to continue to make this...

I tried to create a community called buyitforlife (in part because !buyitforlife is apparently unreachable from here). When I click “create” the button spins for a moment but reverts back to a “create” button & nothing happens....

Researchers of the MIT developed a new solar powered passive water desalination system. They claim the system is low in maintenance and could produce water thst is cheaper than tap water....

“Mainstream” isn’t a good label in my book, but I like the enthusiasm 👍

Not sure how to word this… But who should I be following in terms of battery/energy storage research and development companies? I’m less interested in start ups and more interested in bigger companies who are investing heavily in R&D

The goal of this project is to gather strategies, skills, disciplines, technologies, ideas, designs and critical thought in an effort to help prepare communities big and small for a time of great upheaval, an era of collapses (plural). It is not a submission to ‘The Collapse’ and nor does it seek to romanticise an end times....

I think it’s a step forward. A small step but a step. Getting kids any entry level job is a good thing these days, setting them up for careers in climate positive sectors is even better, and I personally like anything that moves us closer to the New Deal 😆

I would love if someone would write a parody of modern society. Something roughly like this narrative...
