Hello! I’m looking for a foss navigator app for my android device, but all navigator apps I’ve tried (OSMand, organic map) are missing a feature: when I calculate the route from point A to point B, on Google Maps a few possible routes are displayed, and then I chose the one I prefer; on other apps only one possible route is...

I’ve come to realize that a lot of foss android apps are pretty outdated and usually abandoned. Is that even safe to use? Like even the fdroid archive repository, are those safe to use? I’m still rather new to the foss world, but in my mind it seems a very outdated app is probably not safe or am I missing something here?

I have macbook air with M1 chip, I wish I could change to linux but unfortunately I cant so I try to stick as much as possible to using open source on macos. But i cant understand why FOSS apps take up so much space in memory. I’m even getting messages that says that I dont have space left in memory and i must close apps, and...

I’m not sure where to ask this so I started here: here: Is there a Lemmy client that has a filter. I want to hide posts from particular accounts. Like anyone for hexbear, for example. I know I can set up my own instance, but that’s more work than I want right now. I was hoping someone knew a client that could do this.

After using Nextcloud for a year and having a wonderful experience I’m not quite convinced, and it’s not Nextcloud’s fault, it’s because I feel like I’m putting all the eggs in one basket (my notes, my ToDos, my calendars, my contacts, etc)....

Since the integrity environment gunk, I’ve switched all boxes over to use Firefox as primary. This took a lot of configuring, as Firefox out of the box brings… a lot of stuff I don’t want....
