When voting on a video/gif that is playing reloads the video which restarts it playing from the beginning. Happens when both using the voting arrows or the swipe action. I expect it to continue playing.

The post swipe controls have hiding the post as an option. Giving the comments the same options would allow for a consistent user experience.

I’d like to turn on notifications in Connect, but I really don’t want it polling for them every minute. Can we get some granularity for this feature?

My AMOLED theme kept reverting to the normal dark theme on app restart. Had to manually set the background colors to #000 to fix it.

When reading a web page within Connect, it would be nice if long-pressing on links in the webpage would give a popup with the option to open the link in an external browser (and probably also an option to just copy the link). I frequently find myself linked to Wikipedia from a Lemmy comment, and then want to open other links...

So it blocks communities with certain keywords in them like anything containing ‘meme’ as an example....

Not to be dramatic, but this has become a critical issue as football season starts. It’s probably something I’ll switch apps over. For some examples, head over to !NFL and look at any game thread. It takes about 20 seconds (not an exaggeration) of scrolling to get to the comments....

This is definitely the best Lemmy app I’ve used but I think some changes to how images work could make it feel a lot more smooth. Making it more like how Sync handles it is what I’m going for. Being able to double tap then hold and drag to zoom in or out is super convenient. I also like the shorter distance to drag to close...

Let me explain. When I enable the ratio of votes I can fully understand what’s going on, however when I click it to make a vote it won’t be counted (I checked it via browser). Furthermore, if I use swipe, it works, but opening a post after voting won’t show me my vote, that’s odd. Hopefully, it will be fixed....

With the option enabled, you can see post downvote tallies as well but it’s displayed as a ratio. Unless I’m forgetting or just missed it, I haven’t seen anyone comment on it either. Good or bad....

Just want to say thank you to Connect dev Kuro for making Connect for Lemmy. Amidst all this hype for Sync and Boost, Connect remains ad- and subscription-free without compromising quality. Hi, updated the app and tried again but “download” does not seem to do anything, or at least I cannot find the pictures in my gallery. Does the download folder have to be configured somewhere? Couldn’t find the setting. Thanks!

Recently I’ve noticed that there’s a slight delay between tapping on a post to view it and when it actually opens. I realized that this must be to support double-tap voting, as the app has to wait for the full double-tap timing window after your first tap to determine if you were going to perform a double-tap to vote or if...

I hate this feature with a burning passion. It makes it hard to zoom in and move around. It’s slow. And when my screen dims while I read I can’t wake it up without closing the image....

On Lemmy’s standard interface there’s a crosspost option, which copies the current post to a new community. Can we have this feature added to Connect please?
