If I want to quote a specific part of a comment to reply to it, that’s not possible with Connect right now unless manually copy pasting the segment....

When clicking the Explore icon on the bottom navigation bar, the menu that pulls up only covers about 1/3 of the screen. It’s enough to type a search string, but it leaves little space for the results....

I go to view a comment with two dozen replies....

I like having the image posts be full width, and the thumbnails with links to be in the “list” format....

When viewing the front page, if I “pull down” the screen to refresh, the contents are different than the “refresh” menu option in the “top-right” menu.

I currently have " hide read posts"and “scrolling marks as read” both turned in on my settings. Whenever I switch between my different logins, and returntl to the previous login, all of my read post history is reset and I have to start from the beginning again.

It happened to me a couple of times. May there be a warning dialog before that? Because if you unlog, you’d need to log in again with empty login and password forms. And it’s just one tap from other accounts in account switching menu....

The post swipe controls have hiding the post as an option. Giving the comments the same options would allow for a consistent user experience.

I normally switch between Hot, TopHour, and TopSixHour views but now every time I log back in or change communities, it defaults back to TopSixHour. how do I get it to stay on the one I just selected and only change if I change it?

I’m now at the point where my blocklist of communities is a multiple of the number of my subscriptions. A lot of my blocked communities have similar or even the same titles across different Lemmy instances, e.g., ‘politics’, ‘news’, ‘memes’. New ones pop up every time I visit ‘all’ and it would be so nice if I...

Currently, looking-tap behavior hides the comment. This should enable text selection instead....

I’d like to turn on notifications in Connect, but I really don’t want it polling for them every minute. Can we get some granularity for this feature?

My AMOLED theme kept reverting to the normal dark theme on app restart. Had to manually set the background colors to #000 to fix it.

*Edit: Reinstalled Connect and it’s working!...

Other than that, the app is perfect

When voting on a video/gif that is playing reloads the video which restarts it playing from the beginning. Happens when both using the voting arrows or the swipe action. I expect it to continue playing.

So it blocks communities with certain keywords in them like anything containing ‘meme’ as an example....

When reading a web page within Connect, it would be nice if long-pressing on links in the webpage would give a popup with the option to open the link in an external browser (and probably also an option to just copy the link). I frequently find myself linked to Wikipedia from a Lemmy comment, and then want to open other links...

Not to be dramatic, but this has become a critical issue as football season starts. It’s probably something I’ll switch apps over. For some examples, head over to !NFL and look at any game thread. It takes about 20 seconds (not an exaggeration) of scrolling to get to the comments....

This is definitely the best Lemmy app I’ve used but I think some changes to how images work could make it feel a lot more smooth. Making it more like how Sync handles it is what I’m going for. Being able to double tap then hold and drag to zoom in or out is super convenient. I also like the shorter distance to drag to close...

Let me explain. When I enable the ratio of votes I can fully understand what’s going on, however when I click it to make a vote it won’t be counted (I checked it via browser). Furthermore, if I use swipe, it works, but opening a post after voting won’t show me my vote, that’s odd. Hopefully, it will be fixed....

With the option enabled, you can see post downvote tallies as well but it’s displayed as a ratio. Unless I’m forgetting or just missed it, I haven’t seen anyone comment on it either. Good or bad....
