I can see downvotes on comments, but on posts there’s only a total score. Can you please make the UI consistent by either giving posts both up and down votes visibility, which would be my preferred course of action, or make comments have only a total value shown like posts? My previous account was on compuverse.uk, tho since about 1 week I cannot access the instance at all. I suppose either the hosting service destroyed it. The maintainer disappeared Or there are bigger issues about cloudflare routing or server issues....

I recently encountered a situation where I tried to downvote a post from an instance that didn’t seem to have downvotes enabled. tl;dr: to reduce federation api calls and to reduce issues with defederation, maybe some instances should only be for communities with no user signups, and some instances should be only for user signups with no communities (you would have to make a post or PM to request the admin to make a community for you)...

Hi Lemmy. I tried to create a community today on lemmy.ml but nothing happened when i clicked the create button: a little wheel spin in the button and then nothing. I tried two different browsers and got the same results. Is lemmy.ml closed to new communities?
