Hell yeah! Get it, fam. And yeah, try not to be annoying about it, but don’t be shy about it, either: the more people know someone personally who bikes to places, the more every cyclist on the road gets humanized in the mind of the average driver. It makes all of us safer to talk about bike commuting.
Personal cars and communities are mutually exclusive. Cars make sense in places too sparsely populated to have a community, or where people don’t want to be part of a community.
I understand where you’re coming from, but some of the strongest communities are in rural places where public transport is unfortunately not a sustainable option.
They look for locations close to your zip because a zip doesn’t reveal your entire address and your entire address isn’t needed.
Then it gets an idea of your whereabouts and if you want to purchase a vehicle it looks at dealerships near you I think or if you order I think you can have it shipped to a dealership in your area.
I love how JD Powell has a stupid award for everything (and they don’t mean anything, they’re just a stupid marketing company.)
Want to have a best truck award but don’t have the best truck? Well, we can sell you a “Best Truck under 4 tons” award. Don’t have the best truck under 4 tons either? We have a “Best truck under 4 tons under $45k” for you…
This is why I always will say that the share the road campaign is and will always be pure bullshit. I love to ride my bike, but if I have to ride my bike with giant trucks and SUV’s imma going to say fuck to that and drive my car.
Cyclists need their own dedicated and barrier protected lane.
Yep! I’ve noticed my life is worth considerably less than a parked vehicle. So this sadly doesn’t surprise me. They might paint more lines though!!! So that’s neat. Right? Count the bodies like sheep.
I think the fact he was a cop doesn't have much to do with it.
This country just really doesn't seem to care if someones shitty, aggressive, dangerous driving kills someone (unless they are under the influence then throw the book at them!).
In America if you're a civilian and you run over somebody by accident and kill them you can still be charged with negligent homicide and spend several years in prison for it.
Unfortunately those kinds of simple, logical rules for some reason don't seem to apply to the cops that kill far more people on average than any other group in America.
I’ve ridden the Rennes Metro. It’s basically the only kind of metro that should be built today: driverless with platform screen doors and high frequency.
I just had to drive almost three hours to the closest airport and am in a hotel for a 0630 flight. I would say rail is best in ultra rural areas, too, because all the people live in the same towns along the rail. But no! No rail for me grumpy noises
