This might be one of the hardest things as a parent. To give them a safe and nurturing environment without letting your preconceptions limiting what they can be. I’m not sure if it something that can actually be done but we can aspire to do it.
I just want her to be able to be who she wants to be without trying to fit whatever mold is pushed on her by her peers or other adults.
No expectations about who I want her to be (even though we all do that), just support for the decisions she wants to make and the things she wants to do.
Are you going to groom and indoctrinate her as well? Maybe get her a hysterectomy while you’re at it, at least then she won’t pass on your dumb ideals.
I had seen that tweet before this comic but the comic feels pretty accurate to how it went down for me too. The next few weeks of comics were a pretty awesome story as well. Especially the one way he wakes up. That was so me!
I’ve been on hormones for a few months now and occasionally my brain will just be like, “what if I’m faking it and I’m not actually trans.” Like, girl, for real? But if you’re feeling that way it probably means you aren’t faking it. If you really were, you wouldn’t be worried about faking it.
