I’m of the same opinion. I’m tired of every app trying to take all my attention and do everything to the point where they do nothing well.
I want a video app, a music app, and a podcast app. I left YouTube Music for Tidal because I got tired of YT Music trying to push too many bloated features.
I don’t appreciate the idea that it’s somehow worse that women and children are the ones dying, as if men are expendable. It’s one of the grossest forms of sexism.
Now, if they had said “X% of those killed are children,” I’d have fully supported that. Adults are definitely more expendable than children. Children deserve full protection by everyone.
But men’s lives matter in these situations too. We’re not meaningless.
Dynamic difficulty has its place. For example, most people don’t want to die to the same boss over and over again. That’s just not good gameplay and it’s overall a waste of time.
Instead, a dynamic difficulty system could very slightly adjust some values each time you die: a few points off the enemy HP, juice your damage a bit, slow the boss down. It can be made so subtle that you don’t even notice it happening.
Resident Evil 4 has a dynamic difficulty and people praise it for that. It keeps you moving through the game instead of feeling defeated when you have to manually reduce the difficulty or when you get stuck in the same area for a long time.
I mean the one you do when you want something easy to do, but not when you’re tired at the point you microwave a frozen-meal, or just cut down a piece of cheese and put it in a bread
I’ll go first. Mine is that I can’t stand the Deadpool movies. They are self aware and self referential to an obnoxious degree. It’s like being continually reminded that I am in a movie. I swear the success of that movie has directly lead to every blockbuster having to have a joke every 30 seconds
Pixar, DreamWorks, and Illumination are the largest studios that make animated movies these days and they all have such generic character designs now. Very soft, very round, large eyes, large mouths, and overall visually boring.
And they often have the same cliche actions and expressions.

I’ve played Starfield for 30 hours and I’ve played about 10 hours now of BG3.
The difference is remarkable. As far as RPG goes, BG3 actually gives you a way to do the role-play part of RPG. You just have so much choice and your choices have consequences. For example, it turns out, someone died because I left an encounter that I wasn’t prepared for and that came back on me later when I found a guy that I should have had a quest line with.
You have relationships, you can choose several ways to approach problems and quests, and the character building is huge. There’s real strategy to everything.
Starfield is just so bland in comparison.
(BTW, BG3 combat is real difficult early on, where I’ve had to save scum just to make it past some fights, but at lvl 3 it gets more manageable. Definitely take time to learn your party’s strengths and weaknesses.)
I’m annoyed that this article doesn’t explain at all 1) how governments are actually using push notifications to spy, 2) what apps they’re using, and 3) how users can protect themselves.
The government is spying on me and you’re not going to tell me how they’re actually doing it? Not helpful.
It’s nuts to me that every Walmart has like 30 checkout lanes and AT MOST there are 4 open and then they have two sides with self checkouts where only 1 side is open.
I wish we could throw the Adobe executives into the sun. They have the worst anti-consumer business model ever for the most bloated, unusable software.
If you buy anything grown almost anywhere, it is with slave labor or near-slave labor. So many of the crops grown in the US use child labor and labor for very very low wages, low enough that it may as well be slavery.
But actually though. Spicy Red beans and rice is delicious, black bean burgers, anything with chick peas like hummus wraps or chick pea fritters, vegetable tacos and burritos with black beans… there are loads of things.
I very much like red beans and rice when it’s particularly spicy. Can add some sausage for heartiness too
All times. CFA gets so busy, they open two lanes with like 4 people walking around with tablets taking orders and the guy under the tent makes sure people’s orders are correct and organize the cars in the systems to try to minimize mistakes. It helps to keep traffic moving through.
